Staying Afloat!

Who knew that friar life was so busy! Oh wait, I did! Sorry for the tired refrain… but here we go again sending out a regular newsletter each week (and I mean it this time!)

New Series

Many have asked me to do more “day in the life videos.” I’ve considered it for a while, but my life is so irregular that I didn’t know how to package it in an interesting way. Until now. Instead of one big video, I plan to post a short vlog each Friday with some aspect of my life. Here are the first three.

Not in the Catholic Church

There are a lot of things we imagine about weddings that have no place in the Catholic Church. Here are 5 things you’ll never see at a Catholic wedding ceremony.

Much Worse Than You Realize

In vitro fertilization has become quite the issue in politics lately. Let’s not be fooled into thinking that it’s okay.

Football’s Back!

Happy start of the season for those who celebrate. Hopefully it won’t affect my productivity too much!

Peace and good,

Fr. Casey

  1. Hi Fr. Casey!

Thank you for your videos. Anyway, I’m just writing because of a “Typo Alert”!! The band “The Beatles” has an “a” after the first “e”. The insect has a double “e”. Have a great week!

  2. Question. I was married in a Catholic church in 2007. The music was all secular. I walked down the aisle to a song from a movie and my brother sang Billy Idols White Wedding as we walked out of the church. Why was I allowed to do this?

  3. Happy to see the newsletter again ♡ ̆̈ all your posts are appreciated!

  4. I’m really enjoying your day in the life videos. I hope it will attract young people to religious life. You are a wonderful ambassador. I am old 72 guy but if I had my life to do over I’d become a Franciscan prest or brother.
One suggestion for the future – I know you enjoy meeting people at sporting events. I think that’s great but I’d like see you bring your message at concerts or other artistic events.
You are always in my prayers. I think you are amazing.
