Admittedly, this newsletter has never been the most consistent communication of mine. There are plenty of times I’m producing content but forget to send it out here. Recently, I was just tired. A lot has happened over the past 6 months and I reached a point at Easter when I realized I wasn’t “okay” and needed to take a break.
I’m happy to say that I’m on the way back up and back to making online content. Enjoy!
Answering Questions… From Atheists
Answering questions from people who already believe is easy, but is it necessarily that helpful? It seems to me that the questions we should really be answering are from people who don’t yet believe. Their questions are much harder, but every Christian should be able to answer them. Can you?
Not All Mid-Life Crises are Bad
When most people think of a mid-life crisis, they think of someone getting a new look, buying a sports car, or doing something extravagant. For Br. John Barker, it meant joining the priesthood.
Asking for a Friend…
Do you live in Nashville, Memphis, Austin, Denver, or Louisville? Would you like to have friars come to your city to evangelize, teach, and serve the poor? Do you work for the diocese or know someone who does? This video is for you.
More to come!
Like this content? Way more to come! Be sure to subscribe to this newsletter if you haven’t already!

SO happy you are back!! 🤗
Pace e Bene….never feel guilty about taking a break…you have a lot on your plate
I am really pleased tat you are “on the way up”. A vocation like yours is like no other.
As a retired mental health nurse, I know the importance of self-care. So look after yourself Father so that you can look after others
I am glad you are well again, Father.
Glad that you’re on the way back. Even shepherds need a break now and then.
Thank you for all of the work you put into the videos. Both your videos and Bishop Barron’s have been excellent supplements to my OCIA classes.

Hello Father Casey!
Welcome back! You definitely deserved a much needed break and we all missed you.
Have you considered the Diocese of Orlando? The University of Central Florida has the largest student population.

Dear Fr. Casey,
No need to apologize at all. You had a lot on your plate, and still trying to add more. Www’re glad to read that you feel better now, and we really appreciate all the great material you’ve produced to make the Catholic Church more accessible to the world.
God bless you and take care of you!

Fr. Casey to be honest my days would not be quite the same without your blog in them, but the more important thing is for YOU to take care of YOU! I am glad you are better, but please don’t push too hard!!
Thank you Fr Casey for answering so many questions…so well. I look forward to hearing from you and I missed seeing one of you videos for so many months….I need them monthly…I’m running out of time…I’m 91 yrs old …keep sending them!

Fr. Casey, you are one of the busiest people I know. I don’t know how you do it. But just always remember to take care of yourself. I hope you got some rest and relaxation during your break.
That said, I am glad to see Breaking in the Habit back again. I really enjoy them; they help me on my own spiritual journey. I am not Catholic — YET! I have found a congregation I like, and my friend is going to sponsor me, and I plan to take the next cycle of classes they offer.
Welcome & best of luck!
WELCOME BACK Fr. Casey Cole OFM!!!!
‘You deserve a break TODAY , so get up & get AWAY’ as the old McDonald’s TV Commercial used to go.
you work hard Fr. Casey. Sometimes you just have to take a break or you’ll burn out……
I’ve said it in one comment in a video of yours before, Father, but Easter 2023, Good Friday, confessed and done a group penance activity. I had my family there, all the reasons to be happy and at peace I knew it and yet… there I was, anxious, worried and unable to sleep soundly. It was because of my experiences in Easter that I sought help and got some medicines that I’ve since stopped taking regularly. It’s been night and day difference, and without having to fight my mind, it’s all easier. It’s wonderful that Easter drives us to these moments and that you acted accordingly. Mental health is not a bone that sets and you’ll be all good for the future, please take care of yourself and it’s better to seek help early than later, as in most things.
Take Care Father, you can “Burn” yourself out if you are not careful. I remember an AJ Father saying to me when the Dean Left the Cathedral and there was going to be another AJ Priest coming to replace him, will you still work for the Aj Brothers. I said yes! Both Myself and My Colleague take our Instructions from both the Dean and the Deacon onl, so as not to cause Confusion. During the Covid Period we had to work to the “Rule Of Law” now we Work to the Spirit of It. We both know what we Can do Physically and Mentally. Take Care and God Bless You.
believe that Jesus holds me in the palm of His hand. Sometimes, the huMan side of Him kicks in and He decides to applaud God’s creation. Get the visual????
Jesus is just messing with you. Hang in there
