What a wonderful day it is! Our God has become like us so that we can become like him. I pray that this day/season/celebration may be a reminder to you of your place in God as his child and that you will live by the example of Christ in all that you do.
Overflowing Generosity
Despite being the richest country in the world, many face hunger. The students at Mount de Sales Academy and St. Peter Claver Church are trying to do something about this.
It’s Not About Santa
For many, Santa Claus is the symbol of this season. Christians have played a part in creating this character, but so have many others. I’m not suggesting we cancel Santa, but I do think we should be aware of his complicated origins.
It’s about Jesus, Food for the World
Have you ever thought about the connection between the birth of Christ and the Eucharist? I’d like to suggest that the manger is the symbol that ties them together.
Vanquishing Evil
What we celebrate today is light in the darkness, that no evil can overcome the power of God. And there is a lot of evil in the world, and even more in movies. Which got us thinking… who is the ultimate movie villain?
Giving Life Hope
Wit Jesus, everything is going to be alright. Everything. This season, give yourself completely to him and he won’t let you down.
O Holy Night
There’s nothing quite like the beauty of a silent Christmas night. I hope your celebration went and will continue to go well this season.

And a very Merry and Blessed Christmas to you, Father.

Same to you, Father Casey. I’m halfway through your “The Way of Beatitude” today. Hopefully, I can live this way
Merry Christmas Father Casey,

Christmas should turn our notions of God upside down. Instead of Zeus or Thor showing up to kick butts and take names, a tiny baby of questionable parentage lying in a feeding trough (as Randy Woodley put it) “down with the mouse poop and the donkey slobber”. His death would be no less ignominious – executed as an enemy of church and state. The outpouring of God’s love in his life, death and resurrection is the only thing in the universe powerful enough to rescue us from the train wreck of the human condition and the lie that got us here. We must trust this is the way we are invited to walk as well.
Well put, Ross. What you write is difficult, but true, and all Scripture supports such. God help us all to carry our respective crosses.
Merry Christmas Father Casey! Thank you for helping to show us the beauty of Christ every day of the year 💕
I do believe and trust. I keep saying, “Jesus, I trust in you. Help me trust you more.” 😅 I have a progressive muscle disease. Sometimes, it too much. It’s unbelievably hard. So, I repeat my mantra. Pray my Rosary. Go to mass. I ask for healing. It doesn’t come. So, I must continue to trust that God has His reasons. Yeah, but come on! 😅 My humor helps. God bless Fr. Casey and Fr. Patrick.
A belated Merry Christmas and happy New Year, Father! Thank you for your inspiring writing and videos.
